How Color Can Affect Your Home’s Mood

If there’s one thing the previous year has taught us, it’s that our home is genuinely our personal sanctuary. Finding a work-life balance was/is a tremendous challenge, from spending numerous hours in our rooms to working remotely in our living rooms. We’re giving our readers an Uptown Style today to give their spaces a much-needed freshen. It’s crucial to live in a home or space that feels truly unique and warm and welcoming.

We understand that changing things up in our houses is easier said than done; yet, there are numerous simple ways to accomplish it. Adding colour, for example, is a terrific way to give a place the right mood. This interior change can lift our spirits after a long day at work or make our living area look like something out of a Pinterest dream board. Adding new inexpensive trinkets or making minor alterations can have a bigger impact than you expect. These minor changes help to create a pleasant and peaceful atmosphere, which is especially significant for those of us who find it difficult to relax or who want to add mood-boosting elements to our homes.

Now comes the difficult part: determining how to make our home the inviting and stylish space we envisioned. It may appear difficult to do on a budget.

GO GREEN

Nature gives us with a plethora of happy-making endorphins. Green paint and a wealth of plants readily produce synergy between outside and within.

FIND CALM

Our houses provide as mental and physical retreats. A spot where we can take a breather and relax. Nothing makes me feel more energised than a cool, post-workout dip in the water. I like to imitate this on the inside by painting huge expanses—think walls, ceilings, and floors—in cerulean and Aegean blues that have a peaceful, serene vibe.

CHECK YOUR TONE

White is one of the most powerful hues, conjuring up images of purity and clarity. Warmer tones, which go well with natural materials like worn wood, or cooler tones, which go well with blue hues, are available in whites.

MAKE YOURSELF FEEL SEDUCTIVE!

People who are in environments where they look attractive are more likely to feel happy. A warm pinkish tone, such as Faded Terracotta, combined with dim downlighting is the ideal combination for looking and feeling your best.

Now, with all this in mind, how are you going to change your space to feel refreshed and new?!
