How to stay sane while SOCIAL DISTANCING

Aside from WFH office hours, now is the time to get creative with how we spend our days and nights indoors

Gosh, aren’t we in a pickle! We’re all learning how to adjust to a new normal as we are all social distancing. But, honestly, how privileged are so many of us, you’re sitting down reading this from your phone or computer during a global pandemic, we’re staying warm at home, reading, working, still being educated, creative, talking to our loved ones, with little worries and a fridge stocked with food! Aside from WFH office hours, it’s also time to get creative with how we spend our days and nights indoors. Let’s use this time to slow down, spend time with our families, and reset our priorities. In the spirit of staying positive, we’re sharing different ways to pass the time and keep your mind alert and ticking!

SHOP WELLNESS

  • SPRING CLEARN your house, you’ve got the time, now is your chance to make it happen
  • Enroll in free online courses
  • Learn how to play an instrument from YouTube
  • Read a book you’ve been meaning to finish or start a new one if it’s been a while
  • Listen to uplifting and motivational podcasts
  • Download an app like Duolingo and learn a new language (at your own pace)
  • Reorganise your house to be more functional. For example, reorganising your kitchen and pantry areas
  • Have a remote movie night with friends thanks to Netflix Party
  • Have Game night with our friend via the Houseparty app
  • Explore virtual museum tours, here are 10 of the world’s best virtual museum and art gallery tours
  • Organise and clean out your closet. Arrange piles to donate to those in need
  • Cook and bake new (and old) recipes
  • FaceTime or call your family and friends

  • Journal things you’re grateful for
  • Create a vision board using items you have around the house
  • Build a puzzle.
  • Colour or draw, you’ll be surprised as an adult, it can be very  therapeutic
