Her first collection consists of 9 exceptional Chapan coats superbly highlighted in a range of boldly curated sophisticated colours and patterns. Each hand-woven coat is made from a blend of the highest quality cottons and silks specifically designed & created for this collection (50/50 – The lining is 100% silk).

The coats are timeless. Exclusive pieces that can be worn in a multitude of ways: casual or elegant – night or day. It’s a coat that transcends seasons and is unisex. It’s a collector’s piece for the discerning eye.

“Ikat” is a traditional weaving technique used in different parts of the world, where the yarn is dyed in sections before being processed on the loom. This treatment and conversion of the threads creates stunning irregular colorings of the yarn into unique geometric patterns. This very rudimentary technique is recognized and used in various cultures such along the historical silk road. The specific cloud-like patterns of an Uzbek ikat coat called Chapan are unique. Worn by men and women alike throughout Central Asia. The often oversized sleeves protect against cold and were an expression of polite withdrawal when showing bare skin.

Through one iconic wardrobe essential, ALEKSANDRAVIKTOR takes you on a journey exploring heritage, tradition, culture, and a deeper sense of connection.

Aleksandra ́s great goal is to support local manufactories all over the world and help them maintaining in times of fast fashion. The brand values the provenance and origin of fashion. The craftsmanship and tradition combined with sophisticated design are the fundaments of the spirit. Viktor is the name of Aleksandras son.

The collection is distributed online and appointments can be made to visit the showroom in Berlin.
