5 TIPS TO DRESS LIKE A TRAVEL PRO

Travelling has taken a back seat for me recently, with life being in full bloom in London, I wanted to be a homebody for a while and enjoy things a little more than always on the go. But the travelling itch has crept back into me and I can’t wait for some summer sun and jet off to the beach.

So, with summer kicking off and me on the travelling bug, I teamed up with Joules to talk about my 5 tips on travelling comfortably while still looking chic! It’s safe to say there is nothing more important than having comfortable shoes on a flight. Since my flights are usually international or longer than normal Europe fights, comfort is key. There used to be a time when going on holiday meant wearing your best even if it wasn’t flight worthy only to look good for the friends and family members meeting you at the gate– but now… it’s all changed. Keep scrolling to read my tips!

1. Chic Pair of Trainers with a twist

I’m SUCH a sneaker girl right now, only because we (the fashionistas) finally decided that sneakers are acceptable in all occasions depending on the look. I can easily get away with wearing them with dresses and even in the office. The Jules leather white sneaker makes me feel like I’m walking on clouds while looking super on trend. Not only are they stylish but I’m really loving that they’re super easy to slip on even after you do up the laces ( I know some of you might hate me for doing that). But it makes it easy when getting through that airport security as quickly and stress-free as possible!

2. Always carry socks in case the sneakers come off!

As I fight alone most times, my stranger seat buddies dislike the moment my shoes come off. There’s nothing worse than travelling without socks on a plane. First of all, it’s gross, and second- your toes get so cold, and I hate feeling cold! I’m a firm believer in fuzzy socks on the plane, they make the travel process more durable and comfortable. These here are the best …..

3. Always Travel in Layers, aka my jacket, flights can be so cold

Remember how I said I hate feeling cold, well, layers are lifesavers! I always wear a t-shirt and a hoodie/jacket when I travel and if I’m going somewhere colder, I bring a heavier jacket or coat with me on my carry-on! It’s also great to have something a little heavier to use as a blanket on the plane, especially when you neighbour decides turning on the air con is acceptable when we’re already 10,000 miles up with below freezing weather.

4. Softest jeans if you aren’t a joggers kind of chick

I’m not a joggers kind of girl, even when lounging around the house, they make me feel way to warm but if you are like me, for long-haul flights, sweatpants or very soft jeans that are easy on the waistline are a must. But when I look for comfy jeans, I always try to find some that are a bit more like a boyfriend jean, you can even roll up your jeans so you sneaker show better and it looks well summery and totally trendy without looking baggy.

5. 0 to none make up, better for the skin

There’s nothing that will mess up your skin quite like wearing a full face of makeup on a flight, well mine becomes a mess even before I land. So if you’re up to it- go make up free or at least go minimal (no concealer and foundation as those will really clog up your pores in-flight).
